Since forming in the suburbs of Perth in 2005, Break Even have endured almost every experience a young band can; the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The former includes putting out 2 successful releases and touring the country countless times with some of the biggest names in local and international hardcore. The latter on the other hand, includes undergoing numerous lineup changes and on a greater scale, a tragedy in the death of a band member.

In November 2008 Break Even experienced the unthinkable, when their guitarist Rowan Willoughby took his own life. Rowans untimely death took a toll not only on the members of the band, but with everyone in the hardcore community, leaving a giant question mark over the future of the band.

After some time the 4 remaining members returned to the rehearsal studio to see if they could go on with what they’d come to know as Break Even. Out of this process came their debut album, "The Bright Side".

Aptly named, it's a story of birth and death and everything in between. Recorded in March at Reading Room Studios in Perth, it is an honest and passionate statement that was written to remember, to inspire and to never forget.

Anchors Aweigh Records will be releasing The Bright Side in Europe as limited edition 12 " LP, in 2 different colored wax. To support the release the band set to embark on there first European Tour this april/ may on the Deez Nuts/ The Ghost Inside/ Awaken Demons tour. Catch Break Even from April 16th - May 23rd.

Belgium's new promise Worms Feed chosen the hard way. After only a few months of existence they already planned loads of shows and put all themselves into this new project. "Still so much to waste" is just too amazing for being their first work and it proves this band gonna have loads to say!!!

The new Flowers For Whores 7" titled "Another Rome Falls" is out and every note the band ever recorded is available for free download at our download section, including the new 7". There is a limited 100pcs color edition of the record.

Discordance, melody, and bloodied precision are found here, belted out in equal measure. Straddling the lines of tight knit metal and melodic hardcore, Flowers for Whores weave a terrifying tapestry that adheres to no strict rules but achieves inspired cohesion none the less. Loneliness, despair, anger, and beauty are seated comfortably side by side in this convergence of the demonic and angelic.
